Aji nhedro 3la Taalim

“Aji Nhedro ʿla Taalim” is a youth-led discussion initiative developed by Alfariq Association as a continuation of the Ouarzazate Education Congress (OEC). Recognizing that the conversation around education must extend beyond conferences and institutions, this program created a more informal yet impactful space for young people to voice their perspectives. Held across three editions in Ouarzazate, the program invited students, civil society members, and educators to engage in meaningful dialogue about the future of education in Morocco—focusing not only on classroom learning, but on the broader societal and structural issues shaping it.

Critical Themes and Real Questions

Each edition of the program focused on a specific, thought-provoking theme that resonates deeply with the reality of Moroccan youth. The first edition tackled the provocative question: “Who is responsible for raising and educating the next generation?”—opening a lively debate on the roles of families, government institutions, and civil society. The second session shifted attention to public universities in Morocco, exploring the challenges they face such as overcrowding, limited employability, and academic quality. The third edition addressed the lack of guidance and orientation services in schools, emphasizing the urgent need for structured support systems that help students make informed choices about their academic and professional paths.

A Safe Space for Reflection and Reform

What sets Aji Nhedro 3la Taalim apart is its grassroots and youth-centered format. Hosted in cafés and community spaces rather than formal halls, the program fosters open, intergenerational dialogue without hierarchy or pressure. Participants are encouraged to speak honestly about their experiences, frustrations, and hopes—turning every conversation into a seed for action and change. This initiative affirms Alfariq’s commitment to civic participation and inclusive policy dialogue. More than just a discussion series, Aji Tahdar ʿla Taalim is a platform for empathy, awareness, and collective imagination, where young people can question the present—and shape the future—of Moroccan education.
