Areas of intervention
Alfariq has worked since its establishment in the axis of the capacity building due to the importance of the construction of the human being in the chain of actual community development. For this reason, the areas of intervention have been restricted to four strategic axes of intervention:
Leadership capacity building
The leadership area is considered the main focus of the association's work, as it represents the core of the rest of the focus areas, where the leadership overlaps with the rest of the axes.
Work to create community leaders whose primary focus is not on solving all the problems and challenges facing their communities, but the ability to work collectively and with collective intelligence with members of their communities. These leaders graduate from Alfariq programs. We want them to guide, direct and mobilize members of their communities to work together to solve community problems and make decisions and innovate for the benefit of their local communities. We enable them through our projects and programs of these mechanisms.


Awareness of social innovation
The territory of the Drâa-Tafilalet region is fertile ground for enlightening the ideas of young people towards entrepreneurship, in particular social entrepreneurship and social innovation in all its forms.
The Drâa-Tafilalet, in particular, is a field of work on this axis because of its spatial specificities, its diversity with regard to its cultural and natural heritage, and the efficiency of its human resources. And make young people aware of the importance of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship as a real solution to the social problems facing the region.


Capacity building in civic engagement
Working with various associations and young people wishing to engage in the process of positive change in their societies through citizen participation is a major axis of Alfariq because we wish through this area to transfer the experience of Alfariq to young associations in order to develop their performance and also to work together to create new projects and networking opportunities between the different actors
Our work also comes from our desire to advance the successful democratic process in our country and we see citizen participation as a solid democratic basis for achieving responsible, effective, and transparent governance and management by producing a citizen who can be trusted to public policies and able to engage effectively and positively in the growth of our country.


Development of the education system reading enhancement
Our work on education issues goes through our awareness of the importance of the education system and we see it as a central part of producing innovative community leaders and good citizens for their local communities and a platform for the production of scientific and practical skills in several regions and fields.
The starting point for work in this area was through the target group of our programs, starting with children, girls, as well as students in all educational streams, and also through our openness to civic discussions with young people to highlight gaps and collective reflection on recommendations.
We have worked on the topic of reading to grow reading rates and work with young people who have innovative ideas to apply in their local communities to increase awareness and reading rates that can impact cultural progression through young leaders who will be able to change themselves and positively influence their communities.
