We are creative
We Are Creative is a vibrant and forward-thinking program launched by Alfariq Association in the city of Marrakech, designed to awaken and develop the creative potential of young people. Held in 2016, the program gathered 30 participants over three days to explore the transformative power of creativity in personal development, leadership, and social change. It was built around the belief that every young person carries an innate spark of innovation—what’s needed is the right environment to ignite it. Whether participants came with artistic talents, entrepreneurial ideas, or a desire to think differently, this program gave them space to explore and express their creative voice.

Exploring Innovation Through Practice
Throughout its eight carefully curated workshops, We Are Creative challenged participants to rethink their assumptions and unleash new ideas. Sessions ranged from communication and confidence-building to creative thinking, design, and innovation skills. Participants worked individually and in groups, sharing stories, solving problems, and designing projects in an environment that celebrated imagination over conformity. Guest speakers from diverse professional backgrounds offered real-world insights into how creativity fuels growth in both personal and societal spheres. The atmosphere was dynamic and interactive, encouraging youth to step out of their comfort zones and see creativity not just as an artistic skill—but as a mindset and way of life.

The We Are Creative program is part of Alfariq’s broader vision to empower Moroccan youth by equipping them with the tools to create, connect, and contribute. Beyond the workshops, the program fostered meaningful dialogue on the role of creativity in shaping a better future—whether in education, entrepreneurship, civic engagement, or daily life.
