Camp for Teenagers
Camp for Teenagers is a youth leadership and empowerment initiative developed by Alfariq Association in partnership with the Ministry of Youth, Culture, and Communication (MJCC). This program was designed to provide young girls with an enriching space to explore themes such as self-leadership, creativity, personal values, and civic engagement. Tailored for girls aged 15–18, the program’s core objective is to build confidence, amplify voice, and develop the soft and technical skills needed to become proactive and aware citizens in their communities.

A journey of change
Over the span of six days in August 2021, participants followed an intensive and dynamic schedule. Each day included ice-breaking games, inspirational sessions with Alfariq members, and interactive training workshops. Themes ranged from design thinking and personal branding (like creating their “CV of 2030”), to world opportunities, social entrepreneurship, and podcast production. The "Enterprise Game" allowed girls to experience project design and management in a fun, simulation-based approach, while the final days included creative and critical challenges like debate training, elevator pitches, photography, and storytelling. This hybrid format combined both theoretical inputs and practical application in a joyful, inclusive environment.
Our vision
The long-term vision of the program is to cultivate a generation of empowered young women who see themselves as capable of shaping the future. By bringing leadership closer to girls in marginalized or semi-urban areas like Ouarzazate, Alfariq ensures equal access to opportunities that foster growth and civic responsibility. The program builds not only knowledge and skills, but also networks of support and sisterhood among the participants. Many of the girls continue to engage with Alfariq activities after the program, becoming emerging leaders in their communities and future participants in broader initiatives across the region.
