Raeedat
Raeedat is a fully dedicated leadership and empowerment program designed for young women across the Drâa-Tafilalet region. Initiated by Alfariq Association, the program targets girls aged 16 to 25 and focuses on developing leadership capacity, civic awareness, and entrepreneurial thinking through inclusive and hands-on training sessions. With a clear mission to build a generation of female changemakers, Raeedat creates a space where young women are invited to reflect, lead, and act. The program has been implemented in both Ouarzazate and Zagora, reinforcing Alfariq’s commitment to reaching and empowering girls in both urban and rural contexts.

Empowerment Through Training and Dialogue
Each edition of Raeedat consists of immersive training workshops, storytelling moments, and applied learning experiences. The first edition, held in Ouarzazate, included workshops on social intelligence, public speaking, and design thinking, as well as creative simulations and debate challenges. The second edition was expanded into two regional sessions: one in Tafergalt (Zagora) and the other in Tarmigt (Ouarzazate). The sessions introduced participants to leadership principles, human-centered design, and pitch strategies for social project ideas. Through group exercises, guest sessions with mentors, and team presentations, participants were encouraged to think critically, collaborate, and propose solutions to local challenges faced by girls and youth.
A Space for Confidence, Creativity, and Community Action
What makes Raeedat unique is its focus on girls as drivers of community transformation. The program doesn’t just offer training—it builds confidence, cultivates vision, and nurtures the belief that every young woman has the power to lead change. By combining civic education, project-based learning, and storytelling, Raeedat prepares participants to become active citizens and social innovators in their communities. With over 60 girls trained so far, Raeedat continues to grow as a dynamic platform where girls from Drâa-Tafilalet can learn, connect, and shape the future they want to live in.
